The Spirit of Hospitality · From Tokyo to the World

One Bowl,
Shared in Peace.

The spirit of hospitality, rooted in Japanese tea ceremony — brought to your space, your team. Delivered by Miharu Akagi, tea master and entrepreneur.

The Way of Tea

The Spirit Behind the Bowl

The Japanese tea ceremony — chanoyu, “the Way of Tea” — is an art of hospitality and presence with a history spanning more than five hundred years. In a quiet room, host and guest share a bowl of matcha prepared with complete attention. Everything rests on four principles:

Wa

Harmony

Opening our hearts to one another, and coming together in harmony.

Kei

Respect

Respecting one another, treating people and things alike with courtesy and care.

Sei

Purity

Purifying not only what can be seen, but the spirit within. Visible dust is swept away in a moment.

Jaku

Tranquility

Keeping a calm, unshaken spirit, at all times.

“Ichigo ichie — one time, one meeting.” At the heart of the Way of Tea is the understanding that this gathering, exactly as it is, will never happen again. This is what we bring to every experience, every training, and every partnership.

Meet Miharu Akagi

Miharu began her practice of the Way of Tea in the Urasenke school at the age of twelve, and has continued for more than twenty years, receiving the tea name Sōnichi (宋日). For Businesses

Serve with the spirit of hospitality

Matcha may be trending worldwide, but what makes a lasting impression isn't technique alone. It's the spirit of hospitality — woven into how you welcome guests, and into what you serve — that turns a bowl of matcha into something customers remember. We help you bring that spirit into your café, entirely online.

01

Assess

A live video assessment of your matcha preparation, service flow and presentation — with specific, actionable feedback grounded in twenty years of Urasenke practice.

02

Train

Online tea training sessions for your staff: whisking technique, serving etiquette, and the spirit of Japanese hospitality your guests will feel in every cup.

03

Grow

Ongoing monthly or quarterly partnership — menu development, seasonal guidance, and new-staff onboarding — so quality keeps rising as you scale.

For Cafés, Restaurants & Shops

Host a tea ceremony at your venue

We partner with matcha cafés, restaurants and tea specialty shops worldwide to bring an authentic tea ceremony into your space — a live temae (tea procedure) demonstration and a bowl of matcha, presented to your customers. We handle the ceremony and the storytelling; you provide the space and your community.
